About
Cars have always been a hobby of mine. This interest grew even more when I met my wife. Her side of the family is really into old cars. Her father, uncles, brothers and cousins all own old cars. They all make the rounds at swap meets and car shows, showing cars, buying cars, selling cars. 7 or 8 years ago, I started going with them when I was able and decided to jump in and buy a car myself. I started with a 67 mustang. I had no idea what I had gotten into. 4 years later, after replacing mass amounts of metal on the car (full quarters, complete floors, partial frame rails, cowl area, trunk and various other areas), I realized that I actually wanted an older car to work with. I finished up with the metal work on the mustang and sold it, and began looking for an older car. I was looking for a car that I could work on and modify, but still drive on a daily basis. After looking for a while, I bought a 41 Ford Business Coupe. Swap meets are potential treasure hunts now, since I have a car to buy things for. I have had the car for a little over 2 years now, it's much different than when I bought it, and will probably never be finished, but it's been, and will continue to be an enjoyable experience.Interact
