When I was 9 or 10 and we lived in East Walpole, MA. I started painting flames on friends bicycles and sidewalk buggy's. We moved to Littleton, MA. when I was 11 and my dad took me to a car show sponsored by the "Piston Poppers" in the parking lot of Donelan's Grocery Store where I saw Fred Steele's 32' purple roadster with the white top..... and that did it. Hooked for life.
