John, Looks to me like you could just put some 90 degree ends on you spark plug wires at the cap end and it would fit. Will the cap go on...
djust, What did you use to make your drip rails from? Is it solid steel?
Could be a vac leak making a cyl or two run lean. I would still check timing, ignition, points, etc.
