I started out with Aircooled VW's in High School with a 66 Type 34 Karmann Ghia, then got into Motorcycles and built a 66 BSA lightning Bobber and 74 Norton Commando custom, The motorcycles were not too family friendly and I wanted to share this hobby with my wife and kids so I went back to cars and restored a 78 VW Westy now I finally have an American car a 54 Buick Super and there's no looking back to foreign cars for me now. The evolution is complete or at least almost. A traditional 30's hotrod is still on the wish list.
