It was my dad's fault...he was the king of the 1000 dollar car, which meant i found myself broken down on the side of the road quite a bit. That and he pushed the concept of "why pay someone else to do something you should learn yourself". Got into International Harvesters after high school...quickly got burnt out with the Scout mentality. 4 wheel drive and big tires tend to draw an odd crowd...so when i tore up my rear quarter ellipticle suspension on my 70 scout 800, and had to low rider it 4 hours back to Dallas from east texas, i thought man, this is the way to roll.
