I've used DEI black high temp paint on my Harley headers it has held up just fine. Cures when heat is applied.

We could use some of that snow out west!!! It's been a dry winter here in colorado
You can counter sink the screws then plug them with wood plugs sand them smooth but you will not be able to take off door panel easily.
