my first car was a 65 el camino with a small block th350 10 bolt 4.11 posi. i sold it because i wanted a car. my neighbor bought this clean 66 coronet that had been sitting in a barn for about 6 years. he decided he wanted a dog so the car was for sale. i was looking at this 56 chevy 210. i found out that the coronet had a big block in it. i decided to sell the el camino to buy this coronet. when it was all done i had a red 66 dodge coronet 500 with a 383 727 8.75 for 2000.00 and enough money left over to build the 383 and have the tranny rebuilt. its been an ongoing project/daily driver. i have since put in a 4 speed, 3.91 limited slip, rebuilt the suspension, front disc brakes, swaybar, engine (30over 10.1 comp forged pistons,crane valves springs,dual roller chain,torker intake, holley 750 4160), headman headers, 2.5in exhaust with cutouts, 3chamber flowmasters, 68 a833 4 speed, hurst comp plus shifter, centerforce d/f clutch, 11 in flywheel, scattershield. hemi rear leaf springs, 15x7 steel wheels with 225 60 15 front, 275 60 15 rear, next is black paint and interior. the dart is a real clean rust free /6 three on the tree runner i bought for 300.00. the roadster is a 2x3 square tube frame with a 20sumthin dodge brothers pickup cowl, i made the doors out of 1x1 square tubing and flat sheet metal,the rear of the body is a 30 chrysler front seat back(pan). it will get a 69 307 chevrolet vertex mag big cam zumies 3 speed overdrive from a 57 chevy. spring behind axle, 35 ford rear wishbones "A" spring, large z. it will be as cheap or free as possible. someday the dart will get a 440 4 speed tube axle and all that cool shit!
