- 1930 Pontiac Coupe in Build stage 95% completed
- None, but looking for one now in the Portland, Oregon area.
I own the 1030 Pontiac Coupe that is featured by Silverton, Oregon WHODAMAN on this website.
The car is just now finishing being wired and will be back over at the Silver Creek shop next week to get the final last minute adjustments, wheels & tires, interior fixtures, etc. before the interior goes in. I plan to show the '30 and will post the complete build pictures when it is finished. This is the finish of an 8-year build. The project was suppose to be a backyard street rod build for fun and a driver started in the spring of 2000; car was completely original with an older poorly done restoration. Car cost 5K and is now pressing 70k.
It was completely disassembled, frame laser straighten, boxed with a TCI polished show quality independent front end coil overs and TCI 4-bar with coil overs attached to a 9 inch Ford rear end. We put a small block Chevy 400 built and blueprinted by Stetson Racing, dual quads, 350 Turbo, 4 Runner belt system with Vintage air, custom radiator. The body is all steel, all wood interior framework was replace with all steel and the original steel skin replaced by Tom Larson of Sliver Creek Auto. Custom Cluster Gages install in the original dash; Flaming River polished column with a Flaming River Waterfall steering wheel, 6 way heated power 6 way bucket seats out of a Z3 BMW, Hagan hinges, shaved doors and all outer stainless steel and chrome trim removed and filled, power windows and locks, Pioneer GPS navigations and stereo system with back up camera, key less entry, Cadillac electric power lock, custom stainless steel gas tank with custom trim cowling to replace the original tank and cowling. We had several choices on what color to paint and ended up with a very unusual 3 stage Candy Red called Very Velvet and the name matches the color. It's a glorious deep blood red in the shadows and a brilliant vibrant red in the sunlight. The car has much more in the way of goodies... too many to list, but all done to perfection by Silver Creek.
My thanks to Silver Creek for helping bring a backyard project into a show quality car. This is my boyhood dream come true, even my wife loves the results.Interact
