It was round about my first week at secondary school in Hackney, London when I was 11, that I first got into Hot Rods. I was in a maths class and was playing around with a Corgi or Dinky toy orange beach buggy, when the kid sitting next to me said "'ere mate do you like cars then?" And before I could say yes, he pulled out of his bag a bunch of the famous American Hot Rod Magazines and that was it - I was bitten.

Never built or owned one for various reasons but I'm now in a position to secure some kind of rod in the very near future, and I'm looking at probably a Ford Model A or B (but probably 'glass as I aint got the dosh for a real steel deal. Ideally a fenderless high boy. But I'm heavily into Ford Model A and B high boy tudor sedan's, and closed cab pick ups and deliveries. I'm also into '55 Chevy gassers but getting one of those is a fantasy. Looking for a RHD car with a hopped up stock four banger or something like a Pinto or Zetec
