I have been around old cars and motorcycles since before birth. My interest in the automobile came from my Dad the fact he owned and still has a 1930 Auburn 8-125 cabriolet from 1952 until present along with other cars like camaros chevelles,1954 merc. In 1970 when my older brother showed interest in building a street rod Dad said they are having a meet in Peoria Il. if Mom says we can go we will ride up there and see what this is all about, we piled into the 63 ford pickup with the big block mopar engine and 4 on the floor and went to the first streetrod nationals in a corn field in the middle of nowhere, came home the fever that never left my Brother built his first car the following year a 1936 International pickup that he still has buried away in the garage. We were lucky to have parents that felt old cars were a good hobby and let us waste our time and money on them.Trick of the week stuff was never in the budget so cut it,bend, weld it scrap it, start over again was the way we did it then and now. Dont let lack of skill stop you from trying anything!!!!!!!!!So if you see me on the side of the road please stop to help, but you should know I have been there before......Interact
