I have always loved hot rods and sports cars. but the 58 was bought for my dad when he came baack to states after his secound tour of south east Asia in 1972. for 200.00 from a rancher out side of Lubuck texas. When we lived in big spring texas. started to over haul it ground up in 1981 it was hard finding some parts but eventually found them then my father was hospitalized perminatly in july of 83 then I was to bussy with going to school full time at utep and comunity collage in El Paso tx and working full time.tell 88 when I joined the navy tell I retired in oct 2008. And hadn't had the time to go back to texas to get it or work on it tell now now Iam trying to get a job to make some more money other than my retirment check so that I can finish my truck I want to keep it as original as possibe I want to lower it with te leaf spring suspinsion and straight axel. and put the old 50 style crom steely rims with the original or baby moon hubs wiand for the engine want to put a manifold and split header on it from cliford research out of Corona ca.and repaint it the original two tone paint but add pearl esence to the paint and clear coat and candy it
