About
My late Uncle Marty, always took me along in hot rods he built, and got me hooked from day one. I was not a popular kid until my schoolmates saw me riding shot gun in his 41 Willys coup, or his 23 T bucket, or his 67 Beaumont (you get the idea). He always made me feel important, never like I cramped his style. He had buddies who would help each other, go to meets and races, kid me about the "babes" that at the time were old enough to be my mom, exposing me to the hot rod culture. This build will be in large part a tribute to him, who we lost all too soon to cancer. Up until his passing, wheelchair bound and all, he was working on a 23 T bucket with accelerator and brake controls in the steering wheel. Were he alive today he would find this forum to be "too much" as they would say; but too much of this whole thing about rods and customs, is never enough.Interact
