Been doing cars since I was 14, in 1955 starting with my 1941 flamed Stude. Then a '48 Merc flathead powered '40 Ford and Jim Lytle's '32 Ford Coupe (HRM 1961) and collected over 100 up until retirement. Sold my '49 Merc coupe, '54 Chevy wagon, '51 Ford 2-door, and '63 Avanti in 1995 and moved to Florida with my new Harley and '49 custom Ford business coupe. I'm still playing at it with my channeled '48 Ford tail-dragger, chopped top coupe over a '90 Caprice chassis and floor pan which is a long term project. Just finished the disc brakes, R&P steering, 327 '65 Corvette with a 700R4 on my daily driver '54 Chevy. I did a lot of research to make it happen without a mustang clip or chevy sub frame, using your forum advice as a guide and my 56 years experience of being a hot rod, custom guy. (customs are where my passion lie). Now in my golden years, the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak! Yet I am still doing it the way I started, in the dirt, under a shade tree with just the basic tools .... retirement has not been generous.Interact
