About
I had a 1967 Falcon Window Van for 14 years. It was a rolling wreck that I kept rolling with my own hands. My husband pressured me into letting go of it in 2001, when we moved north, because he thought it was unsafe to drive. Imagine! I'd had it for fourteen years, and him for only five, so it was a close decision. I've resented him every day since then for pressuring me into letting it go. Finally this January I told him:
"You know what Jeff Foxworthy says - "If she ain't happy, you ain't happy, and if she ain't happy long enough, you ain't going to be happy with half your stuff." so please stop bullying me into buying other cars. This is what I want, and this is what will make me happy.
So, I sold my beautiful one ton 1999 Extended Ram Maxi Wagon, and bought my beautiful, slightly rusty 1962 Falcon Station Bus. Last week I bought a 1964/5 Falcon Station Bus/Van (late 1964 built for 1965) for parts, but I'm already thinking of keeping it too...
Anyway, I grew up with parents who bought good American cars, and kept them pristine for decades. That's where I learned to love old American cars.
Thanks,
