Pyromaniac

I got into 50's cars the way many did out of financial neccessity as a teenager in the early 70's. Used to go to the drags many weekends in so cal. Raced at the legendary ascot raceway on the clay half mile. Began racing bikes in the 70's and quickly morphed into street racing when ss big block chevys were a dime a dozen. In 1990 built the Valvoline Mean Lean and Clean Nostalgia dragster and really enjoyed the early nostalgia racing action with a great deal of success. Finally moved to jet dragsters and ran the the Pyromaniac Jet dragster recording a best time of 5.17 @ 301.27 mph before retiring from the 1/4 mile. After leaving the corporate world in 2001 toured with the jet in the west and had lots of fun before returning to cal to open a kustom shop in whittier cal. Finally now that my best friend and crew chief had a daughter I am now moving to nippomo cal to be closer to my my old crew in no cal, bringing the jet out of retirement in 2009 and planning on several races The cal governors cup (sac), The Fox hunt (sac), english town, houston, dallas, the denver jet car world finals, the salt lake city jet car world finals, the tuscon Jet car world finals and night of fire and perhaps another race or two in 2009. Am a nominee for the House of Kolor Prestigious Painter of the Year 2008 and am accepting projects for my new albeit tiny kustom shop to be in Nippomo. Cant wait for the immenent move to the central coast and the rodding kulture that seems to be so alive in the central coast. I may be reached at oldschoolcars1@yahoo.com
