I started reading Hot Rod and R&C, and all the other Rodding Mag.s in the early 50s. I built a 47 Ford Coupe with a 283 Chevy power pack, painted Grey Primer in 1962. Next came a 30 A Model Roadster High Boy, with a 59A block with 8CM Crank and rods, .060 over bore, two 97s, on a Offy Manifold, Offy 8.5 Heads, 400 Cam, 48 Trans with Zypher Gears. 40 Ford Rear, 40 Ford Juice Brakes, 2.5" droped front axel. Painted Blac Primer with Red 40 Ford wheels, Wide Whites. Stock interior. I Built several other Hot Rods after those first two! Today my health keeps me from building 1:1 so I build Models of Traditional Hot Rods and Customs. I have Raced Gassers, and Altered Wheel Base Dragsters. I ran a Sport Fury Golden Commando 413 two 4s in ss/s from 62 to 65 when I entered the Service. I have also made Speed Trials Runs on the Salt.
