I was born in Memphis, Tenn. & raised in South Fla. Served 22 years as a FD/Haz.Mat. Capt. I bought my 1st Rod in 1959 from a farmer in S. Fla. for $60; a chopped & cannelled 1932 Ford 3w Coupe (Only just steel body & rollin' frame) I soon learned I needed more than a paper route income to afford this life long desire; so I traded it sor a S&W .38 cal revolver!
My next rod #2 was a 1934 (real steel) 5w Coupe w/ 283 & '37LaSalle 3 spd, rumble seat; sold in 1967 to get $500 towards honeymoon!
#3 was a 1948 Ford F-1 PU; 350/350 full ft. tilt I sold that to my son.
#4 I still own & trying to sell for $15,000 to get estimated paint & body cost for my present ride which is my 1948 Ford F-1 PU w/383 FI, 4w DB, Air Ride in new Ft. clip from Jim Meyers racing in WA.Interact
