They recommend a light syncromesh the weight of 5w30. I think because of all the needle bearings, the oil would not flow well if it was heavier.

My car has 2" front shoes and 1.5 rear shoes. Front cylinder is 1and 1/8" Rear cyl is 7/8" and a 6:1 pedal ratio.
I have the same setup as you. 56 F100 front and 57 ford rear. I have a cardone #10-1329 dual master under the floorboards. It works great
