I've always been interested in cars, starting from $2 1:25 model kits as a kid. I built so many of those. I became interested in Street Rods about 10 years ago. It was fascinating to think that you could by all new parts from body to gas tanks for a 1932 Ford. I finally took the plunge and bought the '40 Sedan (nicknamed Ruby by the wife). I 'inherited' the Impala when my dad got tired of taking care of it. Both cars are 'traditional'. The '40 is a mild hot rod with a flathead. The Impala is restored stock other than the radio and electric fan. I have some mechanical skills but need time to make up for my inexperience. Working full time with two young boys, time is a precious commodity. The cars need more attention!! I'm also a part time professional musician (saxophone) and enjoy running.
