Grew up in NY during the 50s/60s Lived next door to a guy who belonged to a hot rod club. They had a large property were all the hot rodders would meet. There was a car show all the time of 20s, 30s, 40s and 50s cars. I was there all the time as youngster. Got a crack in the back of the head if they heard me listening to the beatles. also grew up in a town were every Tuesday night within ear shot about 3-400 bikes would rummble into town. On Wendsday it would be the hot rodders. I was like that cartoon guy that smelled something good cooking and followed the smell to it's source. Been addicted ever since.
