I got into rods and customs when i was a schoolkid,my mates family took me to santa pod raceway here in the UK to watch drag racing,that is where i first saw Don Garlits race,it was awesome for a young kid,then i started buying Hot Rod magazine,reading about cars that it would seem we did not have over here.
I grew up and found Rock n Roll bikes and cars and girls (nuff said).
I have had a few american cars in the past,mainly tuned saloons and trucks.
The nearest thing to what you call traditional a rod was an old Ford E93A with an aftermarket flathead and carb,had that for about a year then my parole officer made me get rid of it.
