Raised in rural South Texas in a home FULL of old HOTROD and NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC magazines, My Dad is lifelong gearhead and Chrysler Mech. who exposed me to junkyards, tools, drags, sportscar races, critical thinking etc. I remember going to all sorts of crazy places and races way back to the late sixties, Meeting E.J.Potter and Don Garlits were HUGE to me when I was a kid, Shoestring trips all over the place, Watkins Glen for the sports car races when I was maybe 5...That sort of thing. I'm into all sorts of old car stuff. Old Indy stuff from the beginning to the 60s, Stock car stuff up into the 70s, European road racing, dry lakes, Whatever. If it was built to race and has an interesting history and fits into a tradition of noble greasyness, I'm all over it.
