I'm 35 years old. Grew up wrenching on my Dad's 31 A coupe stocker. At 15 I switched gears and got my first car, a 55 Chevy 210 post. On my 18th birthday I put my right hand in the air and my head up my tailpipe and joined the army. Got shipped of to Germany in 1990 and the 55 found a new home. Played around with old VW's for a few years til I took a Volvo head on and tasted the windshield and I almost bought the farm. Unloaded all the bug crap to a couple of dune buggy guys and never looked back. A few years later I tried the muscle car scene in a 70 Javelin SST and played with the AMC crowd for a while. After a few trips to interesting countries where people were shooting at me and my friends, I parted company with Uncle Sam and took an honorable discharge with nine years served. Found my way back to Kansas City and started over with a wife and a daughter. Ended up with a street rod by accident in 2001. Subscribed to Street Rodder and won the 36 Chevy road tour car. Neat car but not what I am interested in now, so it just went to new home and I am gathering parts for a Model A project now.
