I got the 'disease' honestly. My dad used to build fast cars to haul that illegal booze around Tennessee. Mostly sleepers, like the 53 Poncho w/303 Olds Rocket engine back in 54/55. I'll always remember that first ride, back when I was 5 or 6. Always had Olds power in it whether it was Ford or Olds or whatever.
I love traditional hot rods and kustoms and land speed racing. I frequent El Mirage, but haven't made the B'ville trek yet. Speedweek is after school starts here, so it's hard to get away then. Someday, though.
I've turned wrenches and done machine work (automotive mostly) for over 40 years, and am still learning. I'm trying new stuff all the time and enjoying it ... most of the time. Looking forward to learning more here. db
