I got into hot rods a while back now but it was the emerging rat rod trend that really drew my attention because of the do it yourself kinda attitude that came with building them. Being a graphic artist I've always loved things that are kinda left field and that challenge people to think outside the box which is exactly how I see rat rods - challenging the stereotypical image of what defines a hot rod by building rods as they were originally built, in a garage, under low lights, out of whatever parts could be found without it costing the earth. That's how I see it anyway.
