Father and son watched car racing at early 60's round tracks and Lakeland Drapstrip, Memphis, Tn. Built 1st car at 16, a 49 Ford, 235 Flathead(It was a real moonshine car!). Was in car club in High School-48 thru 51 Ford/Mercs. Mine was bored 60, hurst shifter, offy intake w/3 stromburg 2 barrels. Later built an off road 4WD GMC with 383/425 hp small block. Now, 64 and taking it easy on the beach! Have loved watching Herb and his unbelievable shifting abilities during the 60's.
