My dad bought me a '57 Pontiac Conv as an incentive to stay in (High) school. Didn't work, I dropped out and it was 3 years before I was able to afford another car. Within another couple of years I was back in shape going from a Dodge Superbee, through a series of Corvettes, progressively getting older vehicles in pristine condition. Finally, I gave up the purist routine and decided to do a rod.
