At about age 13 decided that cars were cool and set out to get a 55 Chevy. Finally got one at age 22, but was only able to hang onto it for 3 mos.! My cousin had a string of great cars after the service (68 GTO, 67 Malibu, 69 SS 396 Camaro, 59 Impala, 50 Merc, 62 Corvair) and through him I was hooked on cars. I am a teacher and a jazz trumpet player (hey, Gray Baskerville was a swing music buff!) My own cars besides the 55, were 63 Belair, 57 Spt. Sedan, 63 Impala hardtop,65 Chevy van, 70 Cutlass (my only V-8) 70 Opel GT. I have boxes of car mags going back to my 1st HOT ROD July, 1968.
