Hotrodder since 1937, stopped 1947, Member San Diego Roadster club then.
First car was Rajo T modified, second car was 32 Phaeton with Cad engine, third car was 34 4 door, then 33 cabriolet , and 33 coupe. Built engines for Ed Stewart , ported and relieved flat heads, sold last flathead in 1948 for $250 went to college in Berkeley and got married.
First went to dry lakes in 1938 with neighbor when 16, with a Winfield RedHead flat head. dropped all the rods coming in to Barstow, and had to hitch ride back to Dago with Road Ramblers. Exciting trip.
Brother had hotrod ford in 1922, next brother had same in 1933, so followed suit
Miss the old days when you ran what you drove!
Now 85 years old.
