First car 1961 was '55 Chevy two-door, hot 265 stick-shift, striped by "Coop", also did series of 1951 Fords with 24-stud flatheads. Got into Datsun with new 240Z (HLS3547) in '70, wrote book "How to Restore Your Datsun Z-Car" in '80s, new revised edition out in 2023. Resto Editor/Associate of Z-Car Magazine seven years, wrote for "Special Interest Autos", "Old Cars", "Street Rodder", and other car pubs.
Fiction on Kindle: "A Place on Mars" trilogy, The Flood, The Wildfire, and The Explosion, classified Young Adult, but possibly of more interest as Historical Fiction to geezers: lots of adventure, cars, family, and humor! More to come!
Retired elementary teacher, want to do slice n' dice work in my shop. Have '54 Stude body to convert to roadster! Huge collection of car mags, models, nostalgia. I've done full or partial restrorations/restomods on Ford, Chevy, Pontiac, Mercury, Packard, Plymouth, Datsun/Nissan, V-W bugs, and Studebakers.
Favorite groups: Buddy Holly & Crickets, Beatles, Drifters. Played trombone and bass fifty years, still haven't improved any.
Also dig airplanes: was crew chief on static display Lockheed T-33 "T-Bird" at Chico Air Museum. Favorite plane: Brewster F2A "Buffalo" carrier fighter, c. 1939
Married 50 years same great gal, two kids, four grandkids. WickInteract
