When I was 10 years old my sister sent her boyfriend to the grocery store to get a cake mix. I was skateboarding in the driveway when he came out of the house and he asked me if I wanted to go with him. I said "sure" (he was like James Dean.. couldn't believe he asked me). When we got out to the curb, he had a 1967 big block Chevelle with a 4 speed. I couldn't believe my eyes. I hopped in the car with the biggest smile ever. When we got 2 or 3 blocks from the house he banged through all 4 gears (squawking tire) and I was in love !! I wanted a hot rod since that day. My first car was a bored and stroked early 60's Nova. Got it when I was 14 and have had a hot rod ever since. Current car is a hoodless 40 Ford Standard with a big block.
