I got interested in Hot Rods at age 13 when I saw a 1932 roadster in front of an auto parts store in Arlington, MA. It belonged to Mudd Sharrigan of the Nomads. I bought my first copy of Hot Rod magazine in 1950 and built a channeled 34 5 window when I was 17. I have gone through many old Fords and 55 - 57 Chevies since then.
When I lived in California during the Seventies and Eighties, I met Al Simon and Gordon Forbes who helped me put together the 32 steel 5 window which I drive on a regular basis. Gordon also restored my 1939 Ford and 1956 Nomad. I still spend time with guys that were active in hotrodding and drag racing in the Northeast during the fifties and am involved in local nostagia drag racing.Interact
