My name is Al, I love all types of machinery, but basically I'm a car junkie. I love the old stuff. And I remember how it all started.

It was the magazines. They sucked me in, they bewitched me, they taught me the difference between mere mortals and hot rodders. I soaked them up through my skin.
I never knew how different I was until that first copy of HRM.

Even though there's nothing on the fire right now, I enjoy reading this stuff anyway. It's good to make parts with your hands and your imagination.
Tools separate us from the other animals, nearly as much as intelligence. It would be a shame if the CNC took over, and this was the last generation that knew how to do handwork.
