Nice work. I need to work on my patina technique. every time I do one it looks fake. Here's a couple I built a few months back from the same Revell Model A kit.
The red one is kit bashed big time, the purple one is 100% box stock and the maroon truck is somewhere inbetween.

Went down in the ba*****t today and cleaned off my modelling desk...........Havn't built in a few years. Your posts have inspired me a bit, besides pt's too ******* cold outside to work in the garage.
Have about 50 various kits put away. Might have something built in a couple of weeks.

Its funny how no one has much to show this week! I have been working on neatening up all of the custom mods I have been doing on my 51 chevy, mainly reworking the openings in the fins for the 56 Packard taillights. Nothing interesting enough to show. getting them to fit right was far more than I bargained for. Next week hopefully Ill have something cool to show.

Ok so I got the paint booth set up so now whattameye gonna work on? This was what I was workin' on when I put stuff away in the spring, so guess it's a good place to start. This is the big *** 1/8 scale '32 Ford. Got the frame ***embled, boxed, and bobbed. I made some adjustments to the mounting points for the front and rear springs and dropped it down a little. I actually like the bones this kit comes with, but hated the way they mounted up front, and I wanted to split the rears and mount them to the frame. Couldn't just move 'em...had to go and make some nice boxes to mount them to on the inside of the frame rail. I also had to change the way the arms mounted to the axle, so I shaped the ends smooth and straight and made new plates there to locate the axle with. Somewhere in there I decided that real bolts and nuts were needed. Up front I made new perches as well, that ride on the bottom of the frame. Real bolts again.

The frame is painted Tamiya Aircraft Navy Blue, and the wheels are Tamiya Aircraft Intermediate Blue. Most of the suspension parts are on their way to being either Metalizer Aluminum and Magnesium, Tamiya Gunmetal, and Tamiya Semi-Gloss Black. The engine is Tamiya Bright Red followed by Tamiya Metallic Red.

The body...I'm not lettin' that color outta the bag yet. :D

I didn't do squat with plastic this weekend. I spent all of it working on a couple of Fiat Abarth restos at my friend's shop. Here's an "artsy" PS I did of the cars when we rolled them out to sweep out the shop this evening:

The one in the middle is too new to be trad, but the other two are actually late-fifties/early-sixties vintage. I guess you could call these "Wop Rods".
