I have noticed lately that new members are coming on board and not doing an intro,if you are new and have not done so,GIT-R-Done!! This is the best way folks can get to know you and share info. Also contact skoh73 and get yourself on the members map,we would like to see members getting together that are close by and giving each other a helping hand and attending local events as a group or members getting together for burgers and brews and posing pics would be cool.Show your colors too! We have a smokin' deal on our social group T-shirts also :D OK! Rant over!

i can't remember if i ever did an intro. is there an intro thread? if not:

i live in orange co., ca. i got a 53 victoria that has the front half completely torn apart. getting ready to do the ball joint/disc conversion, 302/aod. and everything else to make it a reliable daily driver. going for that 50s style mild custom. don't have any automotive training, just a p***ion for old cars. so i'll be asking lots of questions and figuring it out as i go. the HAMB is an amazing resource for guys like me. i'm glad to be part of this group.

Ooops...I think I'm guilty as well. Sorry, pards. I hail from the Rock-n-Roll capitol of the world, Cleveland Ohio.
My ride is a 1955 Ford Country Sedan wagon that goes by the name of, "Sophie". Pulled it out of a barn in Townville, PA two years ago. rebuilt 272 y-block fitted with new Isky cam, 6v. alternator, headers and new goodies from Mac's. Love those longroofs. Love that true 50's driving experience. (Still have a little trouble getting used to only three-speeds.) Yowza!

I"m a bad boy too....My name is Blake I have a 53' mainline with a 52' front end, stock motor for now, and have been fixing rust and making things work right. I have redone the brakes, new suspension (thank you jamco), and redone and tunneled the floors. Still have plenty to do.

    Jeff,

Sorry about that. I introduced myself when I initially joined the HAMB but I forgot to introduce myself when I joined the1952-56 Ford group.

I'm James. I live in Oklahoma. Have a 1962 Fairlane with 460, and currently working on a 1954 Customline that I am installing a 56 Merc 312 into.

  19. I've been here on the HAMB for a while; just bought a '53 Customline 2D with a 215 late last year. Been using it as a daily 3-5 times a week.

Plans (with current finances, that's pronounced "fantasies") include white diamond tuft or tuck & roll interior, HOK organic green paint with silver flake roof.

Probably several years down the line.

Hey Bill, sounds like good plans for your car. Yeah, it takes time and $$$ - LOTS of money as I found out. You'll likely find out it's worth it though. Welcome, and thanks for the tips on the springs.

I can't remember if I did an intro here with this group, I have been here for probably a couple of months and been on the HAMB for a couple of years. I have a 56 Fairlane Town Sedan with a 351W, C4 and seats are from a Lincoln. I am on the East Coast of Canada. I would be interested in one of those T- shirts if they are still available.

I don't remember doing a proper intro so here it is. I have been on here since June when I got my "54 Customline. The car drains the wallet but I'm still having fun, so I think its a good thing. I have never had any experience with mechanics so this is quite an adventure. The car has an '84 351W,C6 everything else appears to be original. I live in Downtown San Diego, but the military seems to change that type of thing pretty often.

  28. I guess I'm the newest newbie. Just bought a 53 Vicky, with Ford-O-Matic, all the stuff to make a great ride from a old junk yard. Yep, can't believe it. Sitting in the cactus, dry as a bone. Who said you can't find the pot of gold. I go by Old Patriot (Terry) from Missouri just south of St. Louie. Retired FF with 2, 1960 F100's. One will have to go. Always wanted a Vicky ever since I had a 56 Sunliner when I was in high school. Glad I found you all. I will be depending on your knowledge to help with this Vicky. Thanks
