    AUSTIN!!!!
    it is 68 in december.
    the round-up is here.
just about any band you would ever want to see along with one you wouldn't opening for them.
and,(although you are married) it is home to the single highest population of tattooed hot chicks in the world.
(I like 'em so much I married one)
and the guys at Crushproof will give you a FREE COLD BEER just for moving here!
and I heard they just combined Dallas and Ft. Worth.
IT IS NOW CALLED FORT WORTHLESS!!!:D

    From a native:

There are five distinct regions to T*E*X*A*S so first you must decide the climate and landscape you desire.

    From the top:

North Texas. Flat. Semi-arid. Football. Farm, ranch, oil. Folks tend to be independent and vote conservative, which is why Amarillo no longer has a B-52 base (thanks, LBJ:mad: ) You can see from horizon to horizon. Weather can't sneak up on you.

Central is the "Hill country" Sand hills, scrub oak. Goats. Liberals. 'Nuff said.

The Coastal Plain. Hot. Humid. Hurricanes. Houston. 'Nuff said.

East side is "Piney Woods" Trees. Hills. Who cares.

West side is Mountains. Dry. Sandy. Not much water. Not many people. Nice place to visit.

    Uh, do I sound a little prejudiced?

    Fer shure!

Dallas claims to be in "North Texas" because they don't want to ***ociate with those Austin/Hill Country folks.

But they are definatly on the edge:rolleyes:

We know a lot of little knooks and krannys throughout the state that could be your little piece of heaven! Just its going to be your little piece of heaven with 100 degree weather in the summer!

I liked east/south east texas when I drove thru the other day. And that freakin Dallas flipped me out with the HIGHways! I'd never seen anything like that before, those ramps must have been stacked 3 or 4 high. How far off the ground are they? I was in awe.

Iwas born in East Texas. As soon as I could I moved to Austin, there were too many rednecks back home. After a while I moved back, I found out that while I always knew where I stood with the rednecks, the Yankees moving into Austin, Dallas, and Houston were a little more sneaky. Now I love it, big trees, lots of water and no one cares what you do as long as you don't do it in church on Sunday. On the down side, most of the area is dry, no liquor stores.

es im married with one boy(3yrs old). We have herd that austin was the place to be and I guess we will find out at the round up, we are going to make the treck tthis year. Im not looking for city living but should be with in commuting distance. how humid is it there? I do paintless dent repair, I have a shop here and would be looking to open one there.

  28. Born & raised in Corpus Christi, and I've lived in/around Ft. Worth, Gunbarrel City, Kingsville, Houston, Eagle Lake, Waco, & now Austin. Everyplace has it's perks...but Austin rules and I'm glad I live here, but Corpus Christi will always be "home".

Between San antonio/ Austin/ and Kerville are literally thousands of satalite towns and small towns so if you dont want the city living you could have that and only be 15-25 minutes away from a large metropolitan area. When you move here I could set you in the right direction as far as dent repair. The guy we use has a bit of a ADD problem and likes to self-medicate! As long as your good at what you do and show up with-in 12 hours of when you say you will, you should do fine around here!

One of our club members moved from L.A. to Kerville and loves it there. Not so high strung there and it actually has a budding rod scene. I live in San Antonio and this is about the cheapest place in the world to live it seems and the economy is growing by leaps and bounds! Austin seems to finally be recovering from computer industry collapse in the late 90's but still seems to be 10 gallons of gas jammed into a 2 gallon tank! Look at all of your options fiscally and desirability

Texas is always well-recieving of people moving here from other states. Dont hesitate on asking for anything

Plus it Hails here quite a bit! :D

[QUOTE= I did the paint touchup work for about 10 years. I did very well with it here in the Houston area. I have several friends that do the pdr and do well with it. Go to any major city and live on the outskirts. all major cities use this service. the car business is on it's *** right now though. You will have to build a route and work it. Lots of franchises and independants doing the pdr. When the market got tough some dealers went in house with pdr and touch up work. I got really bored with it after 10 years. I could probably help you out in this area. TP
