i went to pull a part and got a pedal and cable out of a few trucks . and going to change mine to that . whats on mine is a cluster f!!! that was on ther when i bought it . i been changing all kinds of stuff that some ***** just threw together .

  3. i pulled a pedal out of an S10..took about 10 minutes to install. what ****** are you running? you'll need a good throttle bracket if you have a kickdown cable.

Slicks, When I installed the 302/C4 in my 55 Ford,I used a gas paddle and cable from a 76-84 Chevy full size van (got it at pick n pull 5.00) three bolts hold it to firewall. Cut a square hole in firewall to hold cable end and your done. I used the same set-up in both of my 54 Fords too.
I used this set-up in my 59 Dodge with Chevy 350/700r.
    My .02 cents.

If your 55 was a V 8, all you need is to make a rod from the firewall arm to the carb. A good hardware store will have the rod ends you need.
