I Frenched my headlights and taillights are set back 59 caddy, but one headlight ring and one taillight ring are in bad shape. I really don't want to weld them up and make them a permanent part of the car.
I've seen some aftermarket 50 -51 rings - will these fit? Any ideas?
    Thanks

Having done both of these operations, I think the '52-'53 head light rings are the only ones appropriate (Merc, too) and the '53 tail light rings are the only ones that work.

You could use the shoebox Ford rings, but they'll give you a "bug eye" look that isn't pretty. The later '52 and '53 rings are not hard to find, especially singles, so why look any farther?

You're right. I'll look around for some used ones, the price for new replacements is a little high if I'm going to weld and paint them
    Thanks

52 and 53 are the only ones that will work with out a lot of modifications because there is a peak on the top of the fender. The 53 tail lights are the best because the rings are smooth on the sides.
