Hello all, Just joined this here group. Been on the HAMB since 2001...still a gernade inspector though. I always just answered tech stuff and thanked people for attending our car show and festival, so not a million posts. So, last night I purchased a 54 Ford Customline 2 door! I have owned a lot of cars, but its my first Ford. Worked on a million of them though. Older woman bought it 20 years ago from a family on her mail route, had it restored (using metal not bondo), garage kept, drove it on the weekends and to her car club meetings. About a year and a 1/2 ago someone tried to carjack her in it while driving in Miami and she garaged it after that. I cant find any rust, a little surface rust on the floors. Nice paint, all the trim in decent it seems. Has the ol' 6 banger, radio delete plate...basic! Needs tires and brake work and hopefully just a tune up a fluid changes to drive! Man, im excited and happy to be in this group! You all have been a source of inspiration the past two weeks as I looked at buying it! Photos coming soon!
Welcome to the group! I am always glad to see another '54 Customline owner like myself come on board, looking forward to seeing those photos!
Welcome! I'm a new one too, and I already got a lot of input and help from other members, so I hope you find all the help you need here too
Welcome to the greatest group on the HAMB ! Sounds like to go a nice 54 ! Hope to see some pictures soon . Jim
Man you all, it gets pulled to my friends shop tomorrow, getting tires and going to get to work on getting her running then stopping! Praying the drivetrain is as well maintained as the rest of the car, but I can fix any mechanical/wiring...it was a solid body I was wanting! Glad to be in the group and looking forward to getting pics tomorrow worthy of posting!
Welcome, I'm a little late to this party myself but you are going to find a great group of guys here! Have not asked for help yet that one of the group has not stepped up. Also a wealth of knowledge in the past posts. Is this a great country or what? Mojodaddy
Very nice looking car! Looks like some tinkering will have it up and running in no time. Hope you'll consider Aerostar springs and 2" blocks to get 'er down a little bit. Some wide whites and "period" hubcaps and you'll be stylin'! Cool!
