See my album for pictures of the tail lights I have on my '53. The back portion of the lens is a modified stock '53 Ford lens with a portion of the center cone removed. I then used a '60 Chevrolet Impala tail light lens to cover the removed center cone area.

I used '55 Olds 88 tail lights, buckets and all, frenched into the fenders. The details are in my build thread.

I've only seen Hudson Jet lenses used one time, but they look great! I tried to find some for my Victoria, but came up dry and so settled for the '55 Olds lights.

    How 'bout some pix, vein?

    :)

You could always use '56 chevy tailights?
I'm running cadillacs, and I'm a big fan of how they look. Though its probably just because my dad ran a similar set up on one of his cars.

I used 54 Olds mounted in the 53 lense for many years. have now installed flat lense held in with small chrome bullets.I'm not to happy with them, but they're okay till I find something better. Would go back to the Olds if I could find some new ones.

I have 54 Olds in mine. You have to weld some tabs on the housing to make them work but they look great in my opinion. Carnut...you can get brand new Olds tail lights from fusick.com. They shipped quick and look great. They are brand new so they're going to run you about $80 but well worth it. I heard 60 buick tail lights work as well. Never tried it though.

Here's a pic of my car:

Mine are frenched so if you weren't going to french the lights they would stick out a little farther and you would need to make the housing a little cleaner and paint it flat black or body color or something.

excuse the size! I'm too lazy to crop it, but it gives you an idea of what I did.
