well i finaly decided to try out joining some other social groups as i have 2 other cars . i joined the f100 group for my 53 f100, and the fat fenderd fords for my 48 , and the tennessee hambers since i live in tn, thought i might find some more car freaks close to me . man those other 3 groups are about dead as far as people posting stuff. this group normaly has something new when i check in . seemd like we got a pretty good group here .
Yeah, I belong to the F100 group (56 F100), HAIL! HAIL! Rock & Roll group, IE (Inland Empire, So Cal) hot rodders & SoCal HAMBers. I don't post much but there is much more to learn with this group. You guys keep posting so I can keep learning. Ken
I also joined the 289 group , shoebox Ford group and a few more and there hasn't been a post since June ! That is why I always say this when we get a new person to join our group , " Welcome to the Best group on the HAMB" ! That's because we are the best and we actually have a regular posts about something . Jim
Yeah, I joined a lot of different groups. Old Farts always has something, but what really surprised me is the Y-Block Group and '55-56 group, dead. Vintage Flat trackers is also dead, two threads total. Vintage trailers has some activity.
Yea, I'm part of quite a few groups and if you post anything in them I hope your not in a hurry to get a response. This is a good group to be part of.
I agree about the other groups being dead. I actually left three groups because I thought whats the point if no one says anything. I'm on S.D. Hambers and I swear the most activity that occurs on there are from my car club. I do agree about this being the best group on the HAMB.
Yup, this group seems to be the cream of the cream. I'm in several others and dropped out of a few. Last time I checked on 2 of them there'd been no posts since January. But here, there's usually great and sometimes not-so good conversation between folks, most of who'd likely get along well together if we were closer. While it's not likely gonna happen, logistic being what they are, I'd be all for a get-together sometime, somewhere just to meet & tip a few.
id love to have a meet and greet . but i know its not possible for it to happen with everyone. if anyone ever makes it to any of the pigeon forge shows let me know im usualy there or can be there . im almost to the point of being able to take the family in my car , need seat belts fot the kids. or the rat rod drag bash;s at 411 dragway . i make most them in my car.
For sure the best group. I belong to a number of groups that haven't had a post in ages. You would think the group founders would at least keep trying to keep them alive. I can check here everyday and there are new posts. Gotta love it!
Yeah this group is a neat set. I'm sure we can all gather at various shows, and even though its not a big gathering, better a few small gatherings than one big one (for now!). Fwiw, anyone going to the pile-up, feel free to talk!
