So I'm in my dodge dakota sittin at a red light I look in my rear view and all I can see is the head lights and bumber of a big ass extended cab Dodge Ram barrelin down on me and ....WHAM!!!!!!! The S O B hit me at like 45-50mph, and sent me into this little rice burner in front of me. Then the goon gets out of his truck, with these three huge spikes sticking out of his lower lip that appear to have been placed there intentionaly prior to the accident, and says why were you guys stopped? what happened? I pointed towards the intersection and said " see that big metal stick with the pretty lights on it? It's called a traffic light when it's red most people use the pedal on the left and stop." to which he replied "Fuck you", anyway PD and FD showed up and I got the full package and free ride to the hospital. My truck is totaled and his insurance is picking up the tab. I'm just glad I wasn't rollin 2 wheels today or I wouldn't be here.

hope there are no long term effects. go for the big bucks, and leave it open to future diagnosis. make him pawn his spikes to pay damages.

Thanks Fellas. Doesn't look like there will be any long term injuries or anything. But the good news is it's finally my turn to play the victim and suck the life out of the insurance machine. I've got an 82 chevy p\u in the driveway that I have been working on making the daily driver and I was planning to sell the Dodge in the spring, so it looks like I'll just have to move up the deadline on the project to next Friday and everything else should work out fine. CHA-CHING!!!:D

    I feel yer pain man.

Two years ago an Isuzu delivery truck made an illegal left hand turn in front of me while I was goin' about 50. I was drivin' my wifes Windstar at the time. We connected, hard. My drivers front to his passenger front. WHAM as I'm comin' out of my airbag I see the passenger side airbag deflating. "Fuck that's the AIRBAG"...zonk...lights out.

Because of the height of that thing, it's bumper skimmed right along the top of the subframe, and pushed the whole front of the Windstar back to the firewall. Funny thing was as hard as we hit, the windsheild didn't even crack.

My lower back was already f'd up a bit, and that really did it in. Also had severe whiplash, jammed my right leg up into my hip, f'd up my shoulder real good where the seatbelt was, and busted the side of my head open (when I took out the door glass with it). Most of it was all healed up within 6-8 weeks, but the friggin' back thing kept gettin' worse and worse. Last November I finally had a double fusion in my lower back (which took a good 6 months to heal up enough so I could do anything like work on a car), and now that's healed up I have permanent nerve damage down my legs.

Be glad you got out of it as well as you did. I feel pretty damned lucky as it is, after I saw the van several days later. DAMN glad I didn't have the wife or kids with me at the time.

Half the people on the road wouldn't have a license if it were up to me. Fuckwads like that need to have their heads beat in with a fuckin' bumper.

Problem is beating them on the head wouldn't do cause any noticable damage -- they aren't using them anyway:rolleyes: :D

Sorry to hear it. I was Tboned two years ago. I was sitting at a light, the drugged up gal came in at about 35 mph, making her turn. So drugged up that she couldn't make the turn, she plowed into me. I, too, felt fine that day. However, I was told I'd feel increasing effects for 4-5 days. I did. Now I know what it feels like to be an arthritic 90 year old. I did get over that shuffling phase. Many days I feel ok. Some days my back hurts a little, some days it is worse than a little. When she hit me, it started in the front drivers side, tore the front wheel off, got into the cab, and glanced off. She was "relaxed", and could hardly talk. Her verdict? "Will the dishonorable druggie rat please hold out her wrist so we can gently slap it?" My verdict? Doc says "You'll probably feel the aftereffects some for the rest of your life.":(

Don't sign anything! Don't say you feel fine, you don't know how you feel yet!

Screw everyone that abuses and drives. If only they hurt and killed each other and themselves.......:D
