I pulled the engine out of my 55 so I could fix any oil leaks and decided to paint the engine compartment. I noticed the cowl/hood weather strip is nailed on. What is the best way to remove it?
    Thanks in advance, freemane1

I bought a replacement strip from Mac's the "nails" come with it,to remove them just pull off the old strip and you can grab the heads with a visegrip and they pull out,to put in the new ones tap them in with a flat tip punch.

They are a little easier than trying to pull #16 nail from a 2x4 !
Really not hard at all ! It's one of the easiest things to replace on the car !

I got the nails out and waiting on Macs. What would I do without this group?
