I'm very excited about my COE 1955 Chevy. I have been wanting a COE ever since I saw my very first one at a GOODGUYS show about 10 years ago. I've been watching this one and waiting till I could afford it. The owner called me and I got it for $700. :D I have a 1980 1 ton with a 350 and a 4 speed I'm going to put it on.

I added pics to the Group as this was the only way I could seem to get them out there.

Yes pickup parts fit the COE cab. Like windows, windo rubbers, door parts. I even have the door rubber to fit the coe door. Just A smale adjustment.
Electric wipers, cab corners and so on.

    Have fun Building:D

How are the cab corners on your's? Any other rust issues? I have mine down to the bare cab and found some rust I didn't figure on like behind where the fenders bolted onto the cab at the lower cowl area. There are no patch panels for the COE for this area I guess I'll have to make my own.
Your cab looks almost like mine.

So far I'm pretty happy with the about of rust. The corner are a given on these truck. Both the inner and outer corners need replaced. I've only just started so only time will tell.

good plan X. i work the same way and its not so overwhelming. i think a lot of projects get pushed to the side when the builders get sidetracked by the amount of work ahead of them. just my 2cents. looking good.

we in alberta canada have been forced to start using water based products at the beginning of the year so i picked up some good old dupont etch and the 2K high build last trip to montana at the napa store. i have a air feed mask as the carcinagenics in this stuff will muck you up and a charcoal filter is almost the same as not wearing a mask. so with this all said i guess like computers i'll have to get my head out of my *** and start to use the new stuff.
