Boy, I'm tellin' ya'! What a steal! Updated to ball joints and complete with drivetrain. Can't beat it as a starter car! Let's hope the new owner finds us so we can tell him how he should build it! ;)

  2. If I wasn't half way round the frkin globe I'd be grabbing it , oh whats that noise I can faintly hear?... ah the wifey reminding me I need to finish her car first ! .

Unbelievable it isn't gone yet. If I had time I'd be calling 'road trip' and get out there and pick it up just because. Man, a 2 door hardtop for $600. Unbelievable.

You're spoiled, 53vicky. There's every chance the hardtop wheel openings were trimmed to eliminate rust in the area...but you CA guys don't know about that.

Replacing the lower quarters and rear fender openings is pretty much standard procedure for the rest of the country...

    :)

An F.E. is a fairly EZ swap and with very little effort they make tons of tire shredding torque, some healthy slicks will fit in those wheel wells,I'm thinking period correct "G***er" for a fun factor.Oh,by the way there is a " clean out the storage shed" deal on Phoenix craigslist for a 427 FE  around $600 clams:cool:

I gotta quit looking at these cars. I'll end up with a yard full of them. This car is a real steal. Great starting point for any build for the perfect price.

  11. Well its interesting reading through this thread . When I posted the link I figured that maybe one or two would be interested because to me (remembering I'm not in the good ol US of A) at 600 dollars it appeared like legalised theft. Seems y'all agree .... AND I'd be willing to bet that it is a whole lot less rusty than the rotten **** we have to rebuild down here ! :D

  12. Ok which one of you guys is pulling our legs down here.....
With the aussie dollar so good $6000 bucks seems to good to be true...
has anyone on here know if its got a ***le????
