So i came up with the brilliant idea  of taking a coe and turning it into a hauler for a vintage airstream and or car trailer. Being that I live in NYC there are NO coes to be found. I found a 52 chevy coe on here that was in Wisc. Bought is sight unseen and had it shipped to NY. Finally got around to looking at it today.
    Needs:
    driver and p***enger side fenders
    Door gl*** on both
    Cab corners
    front bumper
    2 grill bars
    front bumper splash pan

which of these parts can be bought from a regular 3100 pickup?

Plans are to either make or buy a 1ton ch***is. Going to put a diesel in it too. Dually rear. Air ride, custom flat bed with wooden stakes. Truck will be painted in an original blue enamel.

That looks like a good start for a project. I've been thinking as you. I would like to build a COE pickup to pull a fifth wheel. What are you considering for an engine and ch***is. I have been wondering if a Dodge 1 ton with the ***mins would work or a Chevy with a Duramax. I haven't got the project truck yet. I am just researching.

Nice you found your COE Truck. Love to see what you make of it.
Lot of pickup parts fit the COE Cab to. Only like fenders, gril, door hings and floor parts are differant. The bumper from A 1 1/2T or 2T 4400 6400 Chevy Truck is the same as the COE. I dont know if the gril bars of the bigger Chevy Truck fit the COE.

    Have Fun Building:D

Getting the Airstream Next week. Moving along. Debating on selling my 55 1st series to fund this project. Not sure yet though. I believe the grill bars are the same in dimension. Good to know about the bumper. Thanks!

Did you get rid of the COE in favor of a AD pannel truck?
