Okay, this is kinda like Open Line Friday. Whatever blows your skirt up this Christmas season is fair game...as long as it's car-related, preferably '52-'56 Ford Car-related. But, as long as Jeff is game, I'm open to pretty much anything that's Christmas-related.

For example, as most of you already know, I'm right in the middle of a build thread of my '52 Victoria. But, as spare time has been scarce of late, I've made little progress worthy of the word. I've also been slightly sidetracked by an OT restyle project with the initials H-D.

I plan to use Christmas Day, weather permitting, to s****e, sand and paint the front frame of the Vicky, which I've named "It's Always Something" after Roseanne Rosannadanna's (played by the late Gilda Radner) famous quote on Saturday Night Live...back when the show was actually funny.

If the warm weather holds, I'll also finish bathing the engine/transmission and get some paint on them as well. Then I'll be ready to make some upward progress, beginning the "build-up" part of this ongoing saga.

So, what's got your attention this Christmas Season...?

  3. OLM , Sorry to sidetrack/hijack but I'd be real keen to see photos of the COE deal when you get into it.

I've got 12 days off since boeing closes for the holidays. Wanna get my dual exhaust done, master cylinder swap done and swap out my old shocks for the new ones I have. Also start dis***embling the 4 door. OLM, id also like to see that thing. COEs have always caught my eye.

Well, my car is supposed to be in getting its first prime soon, so thats gonna be good. i need to help block it out and everything and get it flat.

Dad and I (mostly dad), put a '57 sportster front end on my shovel. Dale Fairfax machined the stem and everything for us, so it really was just a matter of putting it on and looking trad. Now I just need some one inch risers, cut up some drag bars, and order my spool and spokes for my 21X1.5 hoop. I like motorbikes too.

Hoping as many of you all can be with family and friends this holiday season. And remember those who make it all possible.

Our house will be filled with family this weekend, then back to work Monday.

Over the years, we have been blessed with good health and good jobs and for that we are very thankful. As our Christmas present this year we were able to buy our retirement home in northern Michigan. It will be my new project - and something I actually know something about and enjoy doing - remodeling! A good frame, no rot, restorable interior, good gl***, nice trim. . . and situated out in the country away from anything "city".

Wifey and I are really looking forward to spring when we can get started on it.

No, it's about 15 miles south of Charlevoix, just off Lake Michigan. We go up to the UP, my brother lives near Escanaba and nephew in Marquette. Great place up there if you like winter.

Oh yah, lots of deer up there. I wasn't too far behind; I got one up there in '73 with my '69 Chevelle.

    (p.s. yes Eric, I HAVE owned a Chevy) :).
