1952-59 Ford Aw shucks!!!

Just broke the green see through plexigl*** that goes on the top of the speedometer. Don't ask how. I ain't gonna tell. Anybody got one for sale?

I have one that I may be able to get for you but I won't be able to get it from the car for a few weeks. If you need it sooner than that your best bet is contact dragonknucks.

 

Got a PM from Dragonknucks. He says he don't have it anymore. I can wait a couple of weeks.

 

I think the 55/56 TBird ones are the same. Google "CASCO", they have them.

 

nite owl you can get new ones from concourse parts. I replaced the one on 54 and the 55 ford. 54 needs a little triming to make fit.

Ok Paul and Riskybiz help me out here. I called Tee Bird Products and checked everywhere else and all they have is for the '55. Is this the dome you used? If so, what do you do to make it fit? They are telling me it won't interchange. Thanks.

55 is different, and i wasnt seeing the one for the 54, but to be honest I only looked for like a minute. Any where else for these?

 

I'll dig around the garage. A few years back I bought a box full of NOS "Astra-Dial" lenses for '54 Fords at a swap meet. There must have been 20 or so of them in there. I haven't seen the box in a while and forgot about it. I may have sold it at a swap meet. I'll look around and let you know if I find them.

I'm interested too, mines fine, its just decoloured and starting to crack.

I dug around and couldnt find the box. It may turn up yet, but there's no telling. I have a bad memory when it comes to stuff like that. If anyone has a good one that is faded or has spider cracks, you can buy some casting supplies and make new ones. Thats how I did mine on my first '54 Ford. Bought some stuff from "Smooth-On" and cast a new lens in red with metalflake to match the dash & roof. Took about 30 minutes start to finish and cost me less than $30.

Thanks for looking. Concours has the dome for $29.95, but it is for the '55. I think I will order one and if it is close, try and make it fit. Appreciate everybodys help.

 

I checked out that smooth on place, they have some cool stuff, I am gonna have to spend some time over there! And if you do find that box, just hit me up!

 

Well I'm back to square one. I tried a new plexigl*** dome for the '55 from Concours and it won't fit the '54. Anybody got one for a '54?????
