1952-59 Ford Can anyone help me ID these trim rings?

    These were on my 53 when I got it. I've only seen them on one other 53 and I can't find any info on them. They are one peice cast, probably pot metal, but I'm not sure. Thanks in advance fro any info you can provide.

    Could be a Studebaker head light rim . They were very similar to the Fords .

    That's what I was thinking, but the set screw on these go through the bottom of the ring and I think the Stude version goes in through the front. There are bigger photos on my profile in the victoria album.

    My .02. These look like a set my father in law had on his 53 ford (1955). He said he bought them in El paso Texas when he lived there from a store called HOUSE OF CHROME. He said they sold all type of after market accy fender skirts,outside visors, and alot of chorme goodies. Must have been like a J.C.Whitney back in the day.

    They were an accessary itemthat you bought to make your car look like it had chrome rings. In 1959 my 49 Ford had chrome eyebrows and headlight shields from Whitney.
