check this out i couldnt beleive it http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1975...r_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1c18506705
That's got to be the dumbest thing I've seen in a while. And there are 13 bids for over 100 bucks?! What the hell are those people thinking?!
I dont know what to say about that other then there are some dumb people out there,I would imagine new mounts could be found somewhere.
does this make me dumb for throwing away all my broken stuff? what a retirement nest egg i could have by now. wait til the wife hears why im keeping the old junk now......
I got a camshaft from a Ford 400M with one intake lobe ground down..... wonder what it's worth? I'll take the first $50!
Sounds stupid to me as well. But, I did try to look new ones up online at Autozone, Advance and O'Reilly's and didn't find new one listed. Go figure! :-/
I'm gonna have to get the wife to re-think how she cleans up the yard afer the dogs..... clearly there is a good market for turds !
i will check tomorrow when i get to work but transdapt has them at 53$ a peice for new ones. ill see what the cost at oriellys
Now I'm gonna have to go thru that pile of s**** metal again before it goes to the junkyard. I've made some good $$ on ebay before, but this is amazing.
You never know - these could be one of a kind mount that no one makes a replacement of. There weren't that many years of V8 Musting II's.
I'm dropping the price of my cam to the first $45 now.... Time are hard, I understand..... I'll throw in a well worn cam chain and sprockets!
Ive got a busted drivers window for a 54... 4 door gl***. Extremely rare piece. I'll sell it to ya for the price of shipping! Plus you can keep the coffee can that holds all the pieces together! Put this little puppy in your RAT ROD and call it a day. Any Takers?
You know I'm pretty dumb when it comes to this mechanical thing but I'm pretty sure that I would never buy something that said it was broken or something that looked like it had been on fire like those pieces of ****. It was a good laugh though when I saw how many bids and the price that some poor fool paid.
OK I have now seen it all . Damn I am going to start selling all my broken parts on ebay . I wonder how much I can get for the bucket of used rod and main bearing I have that I was saving for the s**** yard ? I even have some good used rings too along with the old spark plugs . I just knew I would get something for them one day . Ok so I just don't understand why the hell someone would be bidding on used motor mounts and one that is broken which will be the forward one . Heck back in the day when we broke a motor mount we would just wrap a chain around the mounts and put a bolt through the chain and bot the chain together .I never had a problem with that engine mount again ! So whats so special about these mounts ? I still like in the description that the seller states that they can us the broken one as a core or get it rebuilt ! WTF is this country coming to anyway . Jim
If you think those mounts were bad check thses out ! They are at $129.95 and has 3 bids ! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&_trksid=p4340.m748&item=200416319508&viewitem=&_trkparms=clkid%3D6331702363460898365 Can't wait till I go to Fords Carsile in a few months ! Guess what I am looking for ! Jim
Maybe those mounts are a freak,I tried Autozone,O'Reillys,Rock Auto & Dallas Mustang, and none are listed for the Mustang II's with a 302 maybe they are rare?? Maybe all these guys that used Mustang II suspension parts should have stockpiled some mounts, probalby better investment than stocks the last few years.
Jeff , I can make a pair of motor mounts for that much money ? Anyone got a set I can make a template from so I can start making some of these mounts to sell on Ebay ? Jim
I just got on a Mustang II site and those are made of GOLD ! NO one reproduces them and there was only one guy that had rebuild kits for them . Here is the link . You have to read this to believe it ! Jim http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forums/mustang-ii-tech/96704-v-8-motor-mounts-1977-mustang-mii.html
